Employment Opportunities

We have employment opportunities for both experienced and aspiring outdoor educators!

We are hiring a pool of part-time employees who can lead programs for kids. These include mainly weekend programs during the school year and longer programs during the summer and school vacations. You must be current in basic first aid and CPR (additional medical training is preferred).

IDEAL EXPERIENCE: K-12 teaching experience combined with outdoor leadership training in one or more of the following skill areas:

   Backpacking
   Rock Climbing
   Sea Kayaking
   Back-country skiing and winter skills
   Sea Kayaking
   Naturalist/Life Science

     Locations: Our programs operate mainly on the Northern California Coast and the Sierra Nevada around Lake Tahoe. Employment is on a part-time basis and is appropriate for those already teaching in full time jobs.    Employment Philosophy: While we will consider ANYONE who can work well with kids, we are looking to recruit trained educators and others who have worked in positions of service. We want a group of employees who have shown a certain level of commitment to education and service work in some form or another.
